![]() PIMA COUNTY FAIR APRIL 15-25, 2010
On behalf of the Southwestern Fair Commission we welcome you to the 2010 Pima County Fair!
The Pima County Fair Entries Department offers many ways to participate in competitions and contests. This year’s theme for the fine arts department is “Breathtaking views of Southern Arizona’s Majestic Mountains”, be creative and produce your vision of what this theme means to you. In addition, enter your livestock, baked goods, quilting, student art and more in the many departments we have available for entry.
While attending the fair, don’t forget to visit Old Pueblo Hall and see how your entries rated amongst your peers and find out if you won the coveted blue ribbon! Old Pueblo Hall also features our fun and educational agriculture exhibit and an interesting interactive science center.
Experience the Fair by taking part in the many other activities that take place throughout the 11 days. There is always a wide variety of food concessions sure to tempt any palate and please your taste buds. Be sure not to miss the commercial vendors offering a wide variety of products and services from home made fudge to temporary tattoos to sunglasses. Hear the roar of the engines as we feature a demolition derby, figure eight races and tractor pulls. Be sure and visit the Power from the Past exhibits that present antique engines and displays of what life was like in years gone by.
We are only one year away from the Centennial celebration of the Pima County Fair to be held in April 2011! This will certainly be an exciting time for the community as we celebrate 100 years since the first fair held in Pima County. Stay tuned for more information on contests, themes and other opportunities for you to participate.
