Horse Shows

The Southwestern Fair Commission Inc. has been a leader in organizing premier equestrian events for over 25 years at the Pima County Fairgrounds. We proudly host more than 20 top-tier equestrian events annually, covering both Western and English disciplines. These events span from a single day to up to six weeks, offering a range of prizes and prestigious awards.

Our lineup includes Hunter/Jumper and Arabian shows, Dressage, Rodeo, Gymkhana, Barrel Racing, and 4-H competitions. The arenas at the Pima County Fairgrounds feature expertly maintained topsoil and sand footing. We employ state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure the arenas are in optimal condition for each discipline.  Our footing is second to none and are overseen by a League of Agriculture and Equine Facilities trained footing specialist. 

Our equestrian jumps are meticulously painted and maintained throughout the year, with replacements made as needed. We offer 435 indoor stalls and 66 portable stalls, all of which are cleaned and treated with an Ag. wash after each show.
